LeBron James, Forward (Miami Heat) 2011-2012 NBA MVP

Lebron James will win his third career MVP, so says someone who is privy to this decision, according to The Associated Press. James has undoubtedly been maligned in the post season throughout his career for seemingly coming up short in big moments. However, no one seems to doubt the fact that this young man, who famously took his talents to Miami before the 2010-2011 season, has some of the best skill sets that anyone to step into the NBA has ever possessed.

On Sunday, commissioner David Stern will present James with his award just before the tip off of the Miami Heat’s second round series vs. the Indiana Pacers. Many root for and root against this superstar. So many impartial basketball fans await to see if this will finally be the year that James reaches the mountain top and hoists the finals trophy.

To many, James’ career will seem incomplete unless he wins, at the very least, one championship trophy. When official word comes out on James winning the award he will join the ranks of such legends as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone, all of whom won three of these aforementioned awards. A true who’s who of NBA allure. Only time will tell if this is the year that James will prove his critics wrong and show everyone that he can indeed win a title.
